Austrian and Slovenian Carinthia has a rich culture and history. Allow our experienced guides to take you to all the hidden nooks of the cross-border area around the Lake Klopein − southern Austrian Carinthia and Slovenian Carinthia and introduce you to the rich culture and history of those regions.

DAY 1: Arrival and accommodation in the chosen hotel. Free time. Dinner.

DAY 2: After breakfast you will be driven to Slovenia. In the first conducted tour you will get the information about Austrian and Slovenian Carinthia. In Slovenj Gradec, the city of peace, you will see the church of St. Elizabeth, the exterior of the mansion Rotenturn and the collection of Hugo Wolf. During the interesting stories and sightseeing you can have an optional lunch. After that you will visit family Perger – the one and only a mead producer and a candle maker with tradicion from year 1757.  During the gallery sightseeing he will tell you about candles and traditional handicraft “lectarstvo” (the traditional making of decorative gingerbread cookies from honey dough). You can also expect a sweets tasting. Return to the hotel. Dinner. 

DAY 3: Breakfast and a ride to Globasnitz to the mountain ridge Hemmaberg, where you will get to know the cultural history and the mystique. The program also includes a visit to the pilgrimage museum. At noon our journey will continue to Ravne na Koroškem in Slovenia. During the journey we will stop in a typical Slovenian restaurant, where you can have lunch. In Ravne na Koroškem we will visit the Steel Industry Museum. Return to the hotel. Dinner.

DAY 4: Breakfast. During the drive through the southern Austrian Carinthia you will learn a lot about the history of this area. A bus journey will take us from Jauntal to Lavanttal where you will visit the monastery of St. Paul during the morning. At noon a traditional snack will be served to you in the „Mostbarkeiten – Zogglhof“ center. You will also be served with a homemade apple cider. Refreshed and invigorated from the snack you will spend the afternoon in the center, where you’ll be shown the distillery and will be introduced to the history of cider-making. Return to the hotel. Dinner.

DAY 5: Breakfast. Check-out from the hotel. Return home.
